Happy Monday morning! I hope you all had a great weekend full of rest, girl time, and well behaved family members. It always amazes me how quickly the weekends go! Life for us, right now, is crazy busy. Harper and I ventured to the big city to host a baby shower for my sweet, sweet cousin on Saturday. It turned out to be a great shower and we can’t wait to meet Baby Bissell! Check out my Instagram to see some of the decor and the mama-to-be. Sunday brought a great morning at church followed by some family time at the river. It was a little chilly, but we bundled up and enjoyed the beautiful river and time together.
In addition to sharing a little about our weekend, I wanted to fill you in on my book list. I love to read but rarely have time. I am trying to be more intentional about reading instead of turning on the TV. I typically like historical non-fiction. In fact, The Help is my favorite book of all time. However, as I try to navigate my 30s as a mom and wife, I have found myself reading more motivational books about how to be the best I can be for my family and for myself. Our church gave every couple a set of books called 10 Questions Every Wife Should Ask Her Husband Every Year. It was a super quick read and I can’t wait for Brady and I to set aside time to ask each other these questions.
Also on my list:
- Crazy Little Thing Called Marriage by Dr. Greg and Erin Smalley
- 40 Days of Decrease by Alicia Britt Chole (thanks to my sweet friend, Cara!)
- Everybody Always by Bob Goff
- Pressing Pause by Karen Ehman and Ruth Schwenk (thanks to my bestie, Kaela!)
- Girl, Stop Apologizing by Rachel Hollis (Already preordered!)
What did you do this weekend? What’s on your list to read? I would love to know both! Comment here or on my Insta!
Be the good.
